By purchasing or using elstar ("the Software"), you agree to these terms. The Software is developed and sold by Patrick Ahrentløv ("the Developer"). If you do not agree, do not use the Software.
elstar is licensed as an annual subscription. An active subscription grants one individual developer the right to use the Software on up to two machines. Each developer on a team requires their own subscription. An active subscription includes all software updates. If you cancel, or your subscription lapses, access to the Software continues until the end of your current billing period, after which an active subscription is required to keep using it.
A valid elstar license is required to use the Software. The automatic local trial is temporarily unavailable. Help, license management, updates and feedback remain available without an active license.
elstar is billed as an annual subscription, processed by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record — they handle all billing, sales tax, and payment processing. Subscriptions renew automatically each year until cancelled. You can update your payment method or cancel at any time through the Lemon Squeezy customer portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. By subscribing, you also agree to Lemon Squeezy's terms of service.
If you are not satisfied with elstar, you may request a full refund within 30 days of purchase. Contact the Developer at the email below. No reason required.
elstar collects no telemetry, analytics, or usage data, and does not automatically upload your source files or file contents. Once licensed, the Software contacts our licensing provider (Lemon Squeezy) to validate your subscription, sending only your license key and a machine identifier — on activation and periodically thereafter. The Software also checks for a newer version once a day via an anonymous request to GitHub's public releases API. Nothing else is transmitted unless you explicitly run elstar feedback, which sends a report at your request. Interactive use asks for confirmation; explicit noninteractive or MCP requests can send without a separate prompt. See our Privacy Policy and Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy for details.

The Software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. The Developer is not liable for any damages arising from the use of the Software.
These terms may be updated. Continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via the website.
